Undoubtedly, Parliament is an institution we should pay special attention when attempting to strengthen the civil capacities in matters of security and defense. Therefore, we have dedicated part of our RESDAL website to specific information on parliamentary action in matters of security and defense. The need for a tool containing the information presented here arose in November 2003 during a Seminar/Workshop organized by RESDAL called “Parliamentary Action in National Defense”, in which the “Methodology for the evaluation of defense committees” was applied for the first time.
