RESDAL took part in the XVII Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas in Cusco

RESDAL was represented by Nathalie Pabón Ayala at the XVII Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (CMDA), held in Cusco, Peru, from July 8 to 10, 2026, under the pro tempore presidency of Peru's Ministry of Defense. 

During the opening session, RESDAL's representative joined other specialized institutions — including the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, the National Center for Advanced Studies (CAEN), and the Inter-American Defense College Foundation — in underscoring that training, research, and knowledge exchange between civilian and military actors are essential to strengthening defense management and policy-making across the region. 

The CMDA is the hemisphere's main multilateral political-military forum. This edition brought together more than 30 delegations to address shared security and defense challenges facing the Americas.
