During the month of June 2011, a team of researchers from RESDAL traveled to Haiti as part of the research project "Gender and Peacekeeping Operations in Latin America: Resolutions 1325 and 1820 from theory to practice." The study focused on experiences of peacekeepers deployed within the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and lessons learned regarding gender-based violence in Haiti. The analysis and systematization of these results aim to support greater awareness among citizens of Troop Contributing Countries (TCC) in the region of the importance and value of contributing to peace missions.
